Thinking...

We are all searching for someone. That special person who provides what is missing in our lives. Someone who can offer companionship. Or assistance. Or security. And sometimes, if we search very hard, we find someone who provides us with all three. Yes, we are all searching for someone, and if we can't find them, we can only pray they find us. Life is a journey, one that is much better traveled with a companion by our side. Of course, that companion can be just about anyone... a neighbor on the other side of the street... or the man on the other side of the bed. Still, despite our best intentions, some of us will lose our companions along the way. And then the journey becomes unbearable. You see, human beings are designed for many things, but loneliness isn't one of them. Although sometimes loneliness may seem a beautiful thing, it all comes down to know that you're better off without it. The feeling that you can actually mean something to someone, beside your parents or relatives, makes the difference. When you find that special thing going around between you and the other person, you may feel scared. But you know, feeling scared it's a good thing: it means that you're actually feeling something for that person, powerful enough to make you think that it can end as quickly as it begun. The vow is simple, really. Those who take it promise to stay together for better or for worse. For richer or for poorer. In sickness and in health. To honor and to cherish. Forsaking all others. Until death do them part. Yes, the vow is simple. Finding someone worthy of such a promise is the hard part. But if we can, that’s when we begin to live happily ever after. I know there are no fairy tales, those leave it to Disney. You only can be fortunate to find a partner, a guide, friend, lover, an accomplice, a person who completes you, understands you and wants to be with you, until the very end. Compromise it's an overrated word. Worse yet, there's people who don't really understand the very essence of the word. Compromise means being there whenever possible, caring about the other one, stop doing things that may harm the feelings of your loved one... Compromise means love for the other one. And really meaning it. Thank You. Wknd it's around the corner. Flaco time... =)
